The markings are a little fuzzy but readable. The thumb hole is very large.
UPDATE: Shop owner responded immediately and replaced with ones with visible lines (see new photo). Great customer service!
Product is okay, but not as pictured. My vision is not as sharp as it once was, so I chose this particular stitch guide for its clear, high-contrast markings. The item I received has grooves, but they are not marked at all. If I can successfully paint the grooves in myself, I will probably use the product, but had I known what I was getting I probably would not have purchased. (And if I had, I would have chosen the black, because I think it would be easier to add markings and not make a mess of it.)
